Painting floors, is not as easy as going to the store, buying paint, applying it and letting it dry. There are a couple of things that you are going to need to take into consideration. Number one is the fact that you need to get the right type of paint in place. We talked about this in another area of the site. We are mentioning it again though because even if you don’t end up hiring our services we want you to make an informed decision. There are certain things that not every store clerk that you meet who is selling paint is going to be able to tell you.
Why Are You Painting Your Floors?
Why are you painting your floors and fence? You could answer why do you care, and we would tell you we do care because this could alter the entire process. A lot of times people just want to give their existing floors a special look or a unique touch that could come from adding a special color or design aspects. It is kind of wide open there. We need to know because that way we will know exactly how we can prep your floors correctly to be able to apply the new paint or coating!
What Type of Floors Can You Paint?
That is actually a good question. We usually tackle all sorts of concrete floors. We have done various tile floors that people wanted to update. Since those are the two most common types of floors that we get a chance to work on that is where we could say we have the most experience. We have also painted brick paths though. We have done a little bit of everything. What may determine whether or not we recommend that you paint the floors is not really the type of floor, but the state of the floor itself.
Extend The Life of Your Floors
There is a fine line here that we walk across all of the time. Obviously, when you get a chance to paint your floors what you are going to try and do is to extend the overall lifespan of your floors. What we can’t promise you is that painting your floors will fix them, that is where a lot of people get things mixed. We can actually add some paint or different types of design aspects to the top layer of the floor to try and hide some of the details like cracks in floors and things like that. What we are not doing is sealing with paint.
Update Your Floors and Save Money
Having your floors switched out every couple of years could cost you a lot of money. What you can do is get your floors painted and you can get a different look from that same flooring every couple of years. In a sense, you are getting 3 or 4 different types of floors out of the same floor that you had placed only one time.
