Garage Floor

Garage Floor
We have actually had a lot of people come in or call and ask about this particular service because they had no idea that this was a possibility. There are different types of options when it comes to garage floor painting. One of them totally involves changing the entire look of the place with a new paint job. Other options involve just going in and putting down a coating to make sure that you are able to preserve the original look. Overall one of the most important things that we want to make sure that we can do is make the floor a lot better to drive or walk on. If we can give it a great look while doing so, then that is a double win for us!

Getting Ready To Paint

One of the first mistakes that people who try to do this job on their own making is that they just want to bring in the paint and get right to work. We have used this concept all throughout the site, what we call prepping the area. You can’t just come in and start painting dirty walls and things like that and expect optimal results! When it comes to garages they usually have greasy floors and things like that. We need to make sure that we clean the floor thoroughly before we actually get to painting!

Epoxy Coating

This is a process that makes sure the floor has a better grip overall and it can really give the floor a great look. You can actually add what some people call color flakes to the epoxy coating so bring more life to the floor. So ultimately what you are getting is a clean look first of all. A floor that is going to be protected against the different types of chemicals that could fall on it. If you want to you can also add an element of design in the color flakes that you can apply to it!

Choosing The Right Type of Paint

This is another one of the mistakes that people make. If you have some paint leftover from a previous project and you want to use it on your garage floor you may be in for a bit of a surprise. A couple of paints can really make your floors become very slippery and very hard to walk on overall. This makes choosing the right type of paint for your floors all the more important. We want to make sure that we are able to help you out in choosing the right paint so that you can get optimal results.

It’s A Process

We have come across clients that want everything finished quickly. All that we can say to that is we work as fast as we can, but a big part of the success of this treatment is letting it dry accordingly. If you stay off the floor for a day or two it is more likely to allow the paint to fully dry and give you the best finish!
